We believe that one of the most important paths to improving animal well-being is by connecting with youth to foster an attitude of compassion, empathy and respect for all animals through education and activity. Making a difference in the lives of animals, one young mind at a time. The Humane Society of Durham Region, in conjunction with the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society, is now booking AnimalSmart™ presentations in schools and communities throughout Durham Region, free of charge.

Each presentation contains thought-provoking and engaging content, including activities that foster empathetic and emotional thinking. Students will learn about animals’ needs, behaviour and well-being.
